What Is Squid (QUID)?

Squid is the cross-chain infrastructure layer that powers the movement of digital value across more than 100 blockchains and 20,000+ tokens. Rather than asking users to manage individual bridges, gas tokens and signatures, Squid collapses that complexity into a single intent — "send X, receive Y on chain Z" — routed across the full multichain surface and settled in one action.

Since its January 2023 launch, Squid has processed more than $6.2 billion in cross-chain volume across 4.12 million transactions for over 1.09 million unique users. It is embedded inside 1,000+ integrator products including MetaMask, Ripple, Ledger, MiniPay (Opera), Blockchain.com, Keplr, Brave and PancakeSwap.

QUID is the native token of the Squid ecosystem and is used for:

* Staking, earning additional QUID from a dedicated, non-inflationary allocation. * Priority access to protocol products such as premium tiers and exclusive yield strategies. * Governance, beginning with Ecosystem Council appointments and expanding over time to protocol parameters, treasury allocation and chain onboarding.

The Squid product stack includes Squid Intents (the protocol layer, with sub-5-second execution), the Squid Aggregator (routing across 130+ DEXs and off-chain sources), Squid Token Service / Accounts (abstraction), the Squid SDK (developer tools), the live Squid Bridge, and a forthcoming consumer app. Coverage spans 106+ chains across EVM, Cosmos, Bitcoin, Solana, XRPL and Hedera, with particular depth in the non-EVM ecosystems that are the hardest part of interoperability.

How Many QUID Coins Are There in Circulation?

QUID has a fixed maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. It was issued in mid-2026 and is deployed as an ERC-20 on Base. The $QUID token can be staked, and staking rewards are funded from a dedicated non-inflationary allocation, so yield does not dilute the fixed cap.

Where Can I Buy Squid (QUID)?

QUID became available at its mid-2026 TGE. Ahead of TGE, a public sale offered 5% of supply via partner platforms, namely Kraken and Legion. At TGE, QUID trades natively on-chain on Base (ERC-20) via Squid and partner DEXs. Official contract addresses will published at TGE on Basescan and Solscan, and should be verified with official sources before transacting.

How Is the Squid Network Secured?

Squid is a non-custodial router and never holds user funds — transactions are signed by the user's own wallet.
