Kaspa Could Be Entering a New Era as Two Major Pieces Fall Into Place

Didds shared that BitGo already provides custody services for many major players in the digital asset industry. If Kaspa’s integration is completed, institutions would have a familiar and compliant way to hold KAS. Sounds like a small thing, but custody is usually one of the first boxes institutions need to check before they touch a digital asset. It also makes life easier for exchanges, asset managers, and companies that want KAS exposure without having to manage private keys themselves. That’s a big deal for adoption. For the KAS price, that means access to a much larger pool of potential capital than the retail market alone. Silverscript Gives Developers More to Work With The other piece of the story is Silverscript v1. Kaspa has always been known as a fast payment network, but developers had limited options when it came to building more advanced financial applications directly on the blockchain. Silverscript changes that. This new programming language lets developers build covenant-based smart contracts right on Kaspa’s Layer 1 network. In plain terms, transactions can now carry programmable rules, rules that decide how funds move and under what conditions they can be spent. That opens up a lot more possibilities on the network. That opens the door to things like escrow services, atomic swaps, tokenized assets, stablecoins, and automated payment systems.
