Kaspa Could Be Entering a New Era as Two Major Pieces Fall Into Place

The KAS price has always had one thing going for it: speed. Kaspa’s BlockDAG technology proved that a Proof-of-Work network could process transactions much faster than many people thought possible. But speed alone doesn’t build a financial ecosystem. Two developments now have Kaspa supporters excited. The first is BitGo’s planned custody integration. The second one is Silverscript v1, Kaspa’s first high-level smart contract language. Supporters think these upgrades could knock down two of the biggest barriers that have kept the network from reaching a wider audience. BitGo Could Bring Institutional Access to Kaspa One challenge for the KAS price has been attracting larger investors. Most institutions can’t just buy crypto and toss it in a regular wallet. Pension funds, family offices, corporate treasuries, investment firms, they need regulated custody providers. That means insured storage, compliance tools, and enterprise-grade security. It’s a different world from how regular investors operate. Yes, who's paying attention knows what's brewing…. …we all know BitGo is making the necessary adjustments for $KAS integration and that Silverscript is finally ready. What does this mean; BitGo’s custody integration and the release of Silverscript v1 directly solve the two… https://t.co/nEasGoIoLj — Didds♤𐤊‎ (@jas_tab074) September 13, 2026That’s why BitGo matters. Didds shared that BitGo already provides custody services for many major players in the digital asset industry. If Kaspa’s integration is completed, institutions would have a familiar and compliant way to hold KAS. Sounds like a small thing, but custody is usually one of the first boxes institutions need to check before they touch a digital asset. It also makes life easier for exchanges, asset managers, and companies that want KAS exposure without having to manage private keys themselves. That’s a big deal for adoption. For the KAS price, that means access to a much larger pool of potential capital than the retail market alone. Silverscript Gives Developers More to Work With The other piece of the story is Silverscript v1. Kaspa has always been known as a fast payment network, but developers had limited options when it came to building more advanced financial applications directly on the blockchain. Silverscript changes that. This new programming language lets developers build covenant-based smart contracts right on Kaspa’s Layer 1 network. In plain terms, transactions can now carry programmable rules, rules that decide how funds move and under what conditions they can be spent. That opens up a lot more possibilities on the network. That opens the door to things like escrow services, atomic swaps, tokenized assets, stablecoins, and automated payment systems. These are the kinds of tools that power many of today’s decentralized finance ecosystems, and they have been largely absent from Kaspa until now.
