Standard Chartered Sees SKY Token Rising Fivefold by 2028

Standard Chartered’s year-end 2028 target of $0.325 for SKY implies a fivefold rise from roughly $0.065 at the time its report was written. That is a large move in nominal terms, but the more revealing part of the call is not the price itself. The bank is effectively making a claim about the scale of economic value Sky can generate and distribute to token holders over the next two years. In its coverage initiation, reported by The Block, Standard Chartered said the value distributed to SKY holders could rise fivefold by the end of 2028. Its stated drivers are a larger Sky ecosystem and more USDS outstanding. The target therefore depends on an operating model: stablecoin issuance must expand, capital deployed through that system must continue to produce surplus, and holders must receive a meaningful share of that surplus. That chain matters because none of its links is automatic. A growing stablecoin base does not by itself establish the pace of holder distributions, while distributions themselves are subject to the protocol’s governance choices. This is important because the forecast is not merely exposed to a general decline in crypto-asset valuations.
