## What Is DEAPcoin (DEP)? DEAPcoin (DEP) is the native utility token of PlayMining, a DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network) platform that uniquely blends entertainment, work, and gamification to tackle societal issues such as labor shortages and rising costs. Users earn DEAPcoin by engaging in gamified microtasks that generate real-world value.

PlayMining is operated by Digital Entertainment Asset Pte. Ltd. (DEA), headquartered in Singapore. Since its launch in 2018 as a Japan- and Singapore-based GameFi project, PlayMining has evolved into a DePIN solution that gamifies real-world issues through Web3 technology. ## Flagship Initiative: PicTrée: One of PlayMining’s first DePIN implementations is PicTrée, a joint project with Tokyo Electric Power Group. Through a "capture-the-flag" strategy game, users photograph utility poles, which contribute directly to infrastructure inspection workflows. DEP is the utility token in this project.
